Our Trip will head towards the southeast of Morocco where you will visit Merzouga Desert as well as Erg Chebbi sand dunes. Ouarzazate has also something to offer since it is home to many historical monuments and landmarks that can tell numerous stories of the past years or even centuries.
The Atlas studios are also located there giving the city a new name, Moroccan Hollywood. Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah will also be targeted in our 5 days from Marrakech. We will wander the Dades Valley and admire the Dades gorge and Todra Gorges before we head the road towards Marrakech ending our itinerary where it began.

Day 1: Marrakech towards Ouarzazate Itinerary
On the first day of our itinerary, we will pass through Tizi-n-Tichka pass from Marrakech across the High Atlas Mountains. We will get to Ouarzazate which has many attractions to offer such as its stunning architecture, the beautiful scenery, the local markets, and many mosques. And if you are a fan of movies, you’ll definitely want to check out the local film studios.
On the way to Ouarzazate, we will stop by Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This village is also known for its traditional earthen architecture. It was once an important trading post on the caravan route between the Sahara Desert and the Mediterranean Sea. Today, the village is a popular tourist destination, and many visitors come to see the well-preserved buildings and experience a taste of traditional Moroccan life.
If you’re planning a trip to Ait Ben Haddou, here are a few things to keep in mind. First, the village is located in a remote area, so you’ll need to be prepared for a long journey. We will bring the first day of our 5 days desert tour from Marrakech to an end by driving you to your hotel in Ouarzazate where you spend the night.
Day 2: From Ouarzazate to Merzouga itinerary
Our itinerary will drive us in the morning in the direction of Merzouga and Erg Chebbi through Daraa Valley passing by the geological rock formations to Rissani. The latter will provide some wonderful moments when we stop by since it has a market (Souk) that is occupied with people three days a week offering the opportunity to purchase some traditional handmade clothes and other local products that will remind you of the place and its kind people whenever you use them.
Next, we will take you to Erg Chebbi dunes where you will have a unique experience of Camel trekking. On the dunes, you will ride camels to the camp while you enjoy the beautiful yellowish sunset changing the color of the sands and of the horizon. The second day of our 5 days from marrakech to merzouga desert will be ended by listening to rhythmic local music around the campfire set by our crew beside the Berber tents that are standard, medium, and luxury. A hearty dinner will be served before you close your eyes peacefully on your comfortable beds.
Day 3: Merzouga Devoted Itinerary Day
The third day of our splendid itinerary will be devoted to exploring Merzouga and its surroundings. After enjoying the shiny sunrise, you will head to Merzouga where you will have an optional shower and a hearty breakfast in preparation for an amazing journey. We will have a 4×4 tour to visit some villages like Khamlia. In this village, you will meet Gnawa people who reside in it.
You will have some cups of tea with them and listen to their music which is so spiritual before we move to visit other nomad villages where some kind hearted nomads will receive us in their tents showing their lifestyle and living conditions. We will also visit the Mefis mines to get an idea of how salt that gives flavor to our food is extracted. Finally, we will drive around Erg Chebbi dunes before we go back to Merzouga to spend the third night of our 5 days tour from Marrakech to Merzouga in one of its hotels.
Day 4: Splendid trip from Merzouga to Dades valley
Our itinerary will drive us from Merzouga to Dades valley with a few stops on the way such as the pause we will have in Erfoud city in which we will see some fossils workshops.
We will continue to Todra Gorge with its beautiful stunning canyons that are a big opportunity for climbers before we arrive at Dades Valley where we will spend some beautiful moments wandering in it. We will also spend a quiet night in one of its hotels preparing ourselves for a long journey on the last day of our 5-day itinerary.
Day 5: Ending the itinerary in Marrakech
The last day of our itinerary will witness our return to Marrakech. We will get back to it through Ouarzazate enjoying all the beautiful surroundings on the way, having stops for pictures. We will also drive by Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah to take some last glimpses of its memorable sites.
We will drive through Tizi-n-Tichka pass back to Marrakech stopping by some Argan cooperatives on the way if you wish to purchase some Argan oil products. We will end our 5 days tour from Marrakech to Sahara desert by delivering you to your hotels after saying our last farewells wishing you a happy life and another comeback.
