The second day of our itinerary will mark a guided tour in the city by the local guide who will accompany you and show you hidden treasures of the city, telling you detailed information about it on the journey. In Marrakech, you will see various places that are both historical monuments as well as green areas. At this point of the 7 days from Marrakech south morocco tour, you will visit Saadiens Tombs, Badii Palace, Bahia Palace, and Koutoubia Mosque. 

In addition, you will see the Majorelle Gardens which are outside the city center. This stunning botanical garden is a haven for nature lovers and Instagrammers alike. We will begin our itinerary with driving from Marrakech to Ouarzazate across Tizi-n-Tichka pass, having a few stops for taking some pictures of the stunning views of the High Atlas Mountains. Next, we will reach Ouarzazate which is located in the Sahara Desert, so it can be quite hot during the day. Be sure to pack plenty of sunscreen and water. 

It is also a good idea to wear loose-fitting, breathable clothing. We will visit the Atlas Studios which is a famous film set for famous Hollywood movies and TV shows. Our 7 days tour from Marrakech will transport us from Ouarzazate to Dades valley through Ait Ben Haddou which is a small village located in the southeastern Moroccan Sahara Desert. 

The village is known for its well-preserved architecture, which includes a number of traditional mud-brick buildings. Ait Ben Haddou has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987, and it is also a popular tourist destination. Visitors to the village can explore the ancient buildings, meet the local residents, and learn about traditional Saharan culture. When we get to Dades Valley, we will check in one of its hotels. 

We will have an itinerary from Dades to Merzouga. Before we hit the road, we will have some good views of the geological rock formation in the shape of “Monkey toes” and the Kasbah of Ait Yul that refers to the 19th centuries before we head to Todra Gorge, which brings climbers from different places, through some Berber villages. 

We will drive to Merzouga and have a stop in Erfoud for lunch and for the exploration of the fossils workshops before we resume the drive. When we get to Merzouga, we will check in one of its hotels where we will leave our unnecessary luggage since a camel ride to Erg Chebbi dunes will be waiting. 

On this 7 days from Marrakech to south Morocco tour, camels will take you on their backs to the Desert camp in Erg Chebbi passing by the high dunes which grow yellowish at sunsets. You will get to the camp and sit around the campfire for tea and music before local food is served for dinner in the luxury tents. You will spend the night in a tent of your preference.

In the early morning, we resumed our itinerary to Merzouga by riding camels back to it to have breakfast and a shower (optional). The Sahara is known for its red sand dunes and camels, but there’s so much more to see and do in this vast landscape.

Therefore, we will drive you to visit some nomad families in their tents to discover more about their life-style as well as the Moroccan people’s hospitality and kindness. We will also include Khamlia village in our 7 days tour from Marrakech to Merzouga great Moroccan south.

 In this village, you will get to know about its inhabitants who are Gnawa people who will host you for a cup of tea and play Gnawa music for you. After exploring the surroundings, we will get back to the hotel to have dinner and rest for the night.

We will have a trip towards Ouarzazate through some Berber villages like Alnif, Agdz, and the beautiful Daraa Valley. We will get to Ouarzazate and check in a local hotel in the evening to have dinner and overnight. 

On the last day of our itinerary, we will head to Marrakech, after giving a visit to the Atlas Studios and Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, through Tizi-n-Tichka pass passing by the stunning sights of Berber villages
