This itinerary will start from Marrakech to have a guided tour before driving to different stunning sites in Morocco including some imperial cities which are home to many historical monuments. It will also take you south to Merzouga through Tizi-n-Tichka and High Atlas Mountains to have some good views of the Southeast of Morocco.

In the south, we will pay Erg Chebbi and other surrounding villages a visit in which we will enjoy the Saharian atmosphere. We cannot visit the south without visiting Ouarzazate which is the cinema city and Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It will also take us to Rabat, Asilah, Chefchaouen, Tangier, Casablanca, Fes, and Marrakech where you will put an end to our Morocco Round Trip.

Day 1: Marrakech Guided Itinerary

We will begin the itinerary by transporting you from your lodgings and have a guided trip in Marrakech which has so much more to offer on our itinerary than just its vibrant rural surroundings. Suppose you really want to experience the beauty of this city. In that case, there are a few must-see destinations that you simply cannot miss.

For instance, the guided tour will take you to Saadian Tombs, Jamaa el Fana Square, Bahia Palace, and Koutoubia Mosque. We will also make sure you walk in the city’s narrow alleyways while you explore its old markets. We will get back to our accommodations after having a full day.

Day 2: Marrakech to the southeast itinerary

On our itinerary, we will leave Marrakech across Tizi-n-Tichka having some pictures of the panoramic views formed by the High Atlas Mountains. We will get to Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and have some rest and pictures before we resume our Morocco tours 9 days towards Ouarzazate which is the cinema city since it is home to the Atlas Studios.

We will drive to Dades valley passing by the thousand Kasbahs and the Valley of Roses. When we reach Dades valley, we will check in one of its local hotels to spend a wonderful peaceful night.

Day 3: Dades to Merzouga Itinerary

On day three of our itinerary, we will leave Dades and head to Merzouga. On the way, we will pass by Todra gorge which is a climbing site that attracts climbers from various places. We will also stop in Rissani to have lunch and wander in its market that gets occupied with people three times a week.

We will get to Merzouga and leave our luggage in a hotel and carry the necessary equipment for a desert Camp in Erg Chebbi where we will have a great night around the campfire listening to local music and enjoying the hearty dinner that will be served in luxurious tents.

Day 4: Splendid itinerary to Fes

Our 9 days tour from Marrakech to imperial cities via Merzouga itinerary will drive us to Fes. Before we get to this city, we will visit many palaces on the way. We will pass by the amazing views of Ziz Valley before we stop at Midelt where we will have lunch. Next, we will carry on towards the imperial city passing by Ifrane which is the Moroccan Switzerland since it is the cleanest city in Morocco.

We will also have a stop in Azrou which is home to the cedar forest in which the Barbary Macaque apes reside. We will get to Fes and check in one of its local hotels or riads to spend the night.

Day 5: A Full-day itinerary in Fes

Our Morocco Round Trip itinerary will be resumed on the fourth morning beginning with a guided tour in the city of Fes since the city provides many stunning views that any visitor would like to visit such as its narrow alleyways, bustling markets, and ancient architecture.

We will visit different places such as EL Quaraouiyine Madrasa and Madrasa El Bouaanania. We will also have a look at the tanneries where the leather crafts are made. We will also climb Borj Nord to have a panoramic view of the city before we get back to our hotel in the evening to stay overnight.

Day 6: Itinerary to Chefchaouen

We will leave for Chefchaouen in the morning after having breakfast. We will visit Meknes, enjoying the views of Lahdim Square, Bab EL Mansour, and Sarij Souani basin. In addition, we will also visit the Roman ruins of Volubilis before we get to the blue city and check in one of its hotels to spend the night

Day7: Tangier-Asilah Itinerary

Our itinerary will resume in the morning. We will explore the blue city of Chefchaouen wandering in its blue and white alleyways viewing its stunning walls carrying the touch of artists from different parts of the world.

We will head to Tangier where we will visit the Heracles Caves. Next, we will drive you to Asilah which is a small city of art whose hotel will host us for the seventh night of the 9 days tour from Marrakech Chefchaouen.

Day 8: Rabat- Casablanca Itinerary

We will transport you to Rabat where many attractions await. Rabat is the administrative capital of Morocco which is home to many historical monuments and stunning landmarks. In the city we will visit the Hassan Tower as well as Mohamed V Mausoleum.

We will also drive you to Casablanca which is the economical capital city of Morocco. In Casablanca, we will take you to your accommodation where you will spend the night.

Day 9: Ending the itinerary in Marrakech or Casablanca

Our 9-day itinerary will take us to Marrakech after visiting some attractions in Casablanca such as the city center and Hassan II Mosque which is the second-biggest mosque in Africa. We will also have some walks in the sandy Cornish. My son and wife and I went on a private six-day, five-night luxury tour. Ibrahim was our driver, but he also offered information about the sites we visited. Ibrahim was really patient with us, waiting as long as we needed and suggesting something else we would be interested in if we didn't take as long visiting somewhere. Ibrahim was a very careful driver who was never concerned about our safety. Morocco was amazing! I don't think we would have properly appreciated the country if we had taken a different type of tour.
